Bearded D'Anvers

I love them!! I don't have any yet though. I am going to a show in two days just to check it out [I missed the registration deadline to show] But they are having a Bearded D'Anver regional show there!!! I am hoping to find some for sale. I don't have much space now though. Would a 2.5x2.5 wire Havahart cage be okay for a pair or trio untill I can build something? How are they tempermant and egg wise?? Does anyone on here have them? Are they rare??

I have one pullet. She is the best flier ever (its a bad thing) and is a MASTER at not getting caught! She also kills my hands with her sharp claws when I'm holding her, but sometimes she calms down and we can carry her around and she's cute. She lays about every other day pretty consistantly, the tiniest eggs I've ever seen, they're the size of Franks serama eggs he sent me.
They are gorgeous! You probably wont find any sweet ones at the show, but if you work on handling them alot they should get better.

I love them as well. I have some Mottled Bearded D'Anvers in my bator now and I can't wait to see how they turn out.

i've heard that the roosters are very aggressive little guys, and will pick a fight with other roosters twice his size! (or with you!)

Still their pretty small so I doubt they could do much damage.
