My non-beardies have a lot less beard fluff at that age. I think they're bearded, even if not very well.

beards are inherited its possible the breeding stock just had a recessive gene unfortunately to me they look un-bearded or very little almost no beard the ones i bought when they were little had fluffy beards even as day olds

This is the flock I bought them from supposedly bearded I think....do roosters have the head covered like the girls,have it, cz these rooster doesn't have a fluffly head

no we cannot see the picture from your picture description the crest should not effect the beard though if you are looking for show silkies a small crest is undesirable as far as the beard on the parent stock since we cannot see i couldn't tell you anything sorry
