Hi, I have 8 silkies from ideal....so cute. They said they would be a mix of bearder and non bearded. What's the difference? Would I be able to see a difference in my one week olds? Or is it something you see after they feather? Just curious. I have two with vaulted skulls (I figured that one out

) They are all soooo cute. Right now they just have their wing tips feathered.

I have four silkies- two have puffy cheeks, one of those two also has a vaulted skull and a puffy 'chin'...thinking that is a beard.

The other two have smoother faces, but are still adorable.

Thanks. I'm thinking that all of mine are non bearded, they all have smooth faces, no 'double chins' to speak of. Aren't they gorgeous though? I love the texture of their new feathers, so different than my others!

I ordered 6 silkies (white) from MPC. Two of them are bearded. They are almost 2 weeks old now. They are without a doubt the cutest chicks I have ever seen. I'll be interested in watching them grow up because I have never had bantams before.
