Rooster with odd comb

I hatched this rooster out of very dark brown eggs. The lady sold them as Dark Brahma eggs but I dont think Brahma eggs are dark brown, so I figured Black Copper Maran. Well he is huge like a Brahma, but looks like a BCM. However that comb is not correct for either breed. I have looked at tons of comb info and have yet to see anything that really looks like what he has. So my questions are...could he be a BCM or Brahma with some genetic oddity for the comb? can someone give me some insight on what his comb is and a bit of genetics behind it?

Not a Brahma, looks like a BCM mix, as you said the comb is wrong. Handsome boy!

The color on his chest isn’t BCM either. And you’re right about Brahma eggs, they’re brown but not dark brown. I wonder if he is mixed.

The comb is the typical result of a pea x single comb (so an impure pea comb)

I agree, from Google; Brahma chickens have a small, low-profile pea comb, which consists of three distinct, low ridges running lengthwise along the head. The center ridge is slightly higher than the two outer ridges.
