Bears, chickens, grubs and honeybees?

Last night, a pretty good section of our lawn was ripped up. I’m pretty confident it was a black bear. It’s the time of year that they need to bulk up.
The problem is that I keep honeybees, and any grub treatment I’d use can kill bees.
So- could I let the chickens on the lawn? Would they eat the grubs without destroying the lawn?

PS- I was told diatomaceous earth would work— it didn’t!

Should be applied just before a good rain so it soaks down into ground,
so shouldn't hurt bees.

Curious to know(see pics) how big of a section was torn up.
No bears here, but skunks dig bunches of holes going after grubs.
