Awww... my girls are gettting so big! They are seven weeks old today. One of my Wellies gave me a gravelly "Bwwwwwwwgh" this morming. I think she was miffed that I didn't bring treats.

Wow, that's early for a Big Girl voice! Does she keep it, or was it just one of those momentary BAWKS! of irritation?
I just love it when my youngsters finally get their Big Girl voices and stop peeping. Peeping is for chicks, not for young ladies!

Hey--I have a Beatrice too!
She is my 6 month old barred Rock--a real "puppy" chicken. It was so funny when my pullets started to make big girl noises--even they looked surprised!

She didn't do it the rest of the day that I heard. I guess it was just he way of grumbling that I hadn't brought any treats.
