Cockerel. The comb is too pink, and there is deep red coming in on the shoulder.

And he'll be a gorgeous one, you'll see those tiny red flakes on the wing multiply quickly. He will be a flashy guy with that pale backdrop. Very pretty.

I have to vote cockerel as well. By 9 weeks I would expect more comb, but he's likely just a slow developer. And wow what color! Gorgeous bird!

oy!! I was afraid of that. thought for sure it was female. I already have 2 roosters of which they fight and have to be separated. trying to find a home for one as we speak. "he" is gorgeous though!! I wanted some blue eggs darn it!
