Beautiful Barnyard Mix Chicks. What are your opinions on breeds/sex?

I hatched a few eggs out from a local grocery store. They were all sorts of colors;different shades of blues and olive. Out came these beautiful chicks. They are about 5 weeks old and I’m curious what all you chicken-pros think about them.

I’m feeling the same way. Thanks for your input! I also feel like the peachy looking one in the second picture is too. “She’s” surprisingly affectionate towards my younger chicks. “She” puts a wing out over them and let’s them huddle around her.

I didn’t know that, thank you. Is it the lighter colored plumage that makes you say that? (Trying to learn) Any guesses on a breed?

Thank you! I love them. I incubated 13 and all but one successfully hatched. They were washed and refrigerated. I saw they were fertilized so I went for it and was pleasantly surprised.

For breed guesses:

They are probably mixes.

Most of the traits could have come from Easter Eggers. The pea comb and the blue egg gene probably trace back to Araucanas or Ameraucanas many generations ago.

The feathered feet probably come from Marans (commonly used in crosses to create Olive Eggers.)
