So I'm bumping up a semi-old thread...hope that's okay...I have to show-off my silkie polish mix rooster: Firecracker. (He said If I don't share this perfect pose with you he'd bite my ankles. ;-) Actually, I'm his only friend so he won't hurt me...yet.

Firecracker was born in September 2020. His egg was added under the broody hen 10 days after the first three were. When the three hatched, she didn't care about the fourth egg anymore so I put it under a heating plate. Wasn't sure if he would make it or not. He did! And I added him to the three older chicks; he struggled a bit but was clearly a fighter. Love this guy. He's such an instigator.

Chester, former member of my rooster-only flock, now deceased. He was a suspected gamefowl mix, and one of the friendliest roosters I’ve had.

Popcorn, a serama x d’uccle mix. She knows tricks and is the current top hen of my bantam flock.
