Beautiful Barred Rocks Ramblings!

i made a thread to see all your Barred Rocks! I’ve kept BRs for almost 3 years, and they’re one of my favorites to keep. I had 12 of them at one point! 11 hens and 1 Rooster! All my BRs have been wonderful companions and great layers. Right now, because of the loss of Pebbles this summer, I only have two of them in the flock, but Bubbles and Jokgu are such lovley girls! I’ve been told they might be good for breeding heritage (they’ve got some good barring for hatchery chickens)

I don't have any barred rocks, only orpingtons and silkies. But your flock looks stunning!

Gorgeous chickens! I currently only have 3, all are pullets. Going from left to right, they are named Jeffery, Baby, and Peaches!

I don’t really name mine but they are a great breed and love their treats! That’s the only time they want anything to do with me lol.

I have two Barred Rocks, Cheddar are Mozzarella. They are some of the sweetest girls! Plus they are good foragers and are very curious.
