Beautiful but dont know what

Quote:
id show him at county fairs but nothing to big till u know more. u can do what i did-show him at a county fair. after birds are judged, talk to the judge about ur bird and ask good/bad things about it. tell him ur still learning. he/she should help u out alot. i did that and found out alot about my birds

in order to properly show him he would have to be dubbed first and formost but i would start out small and work up. were did your brother get him from?

I have no clue but I can ask him next time I tk to him

So my brother got him from a local chicken farmer that got a box of chicks from an auction. But couldnt get any more details than that about where he came from:( Thats where I got my little Porcelain D'uccle&Sebright hen so she did get quite the mix of nice breeds

not really knowing were the seller got them from its hard to tell weather you can show him or not. i wouldnt just give up though...get him dubbed and take him to a few small shows to start then go to some bigger shows, i wouldnt be detured if he didnt place in the small shows though eaither.

I do not believe that one of the accepted colors in OEGBs is silver laced, so either this is a project bird, or a hatchery quality silver sebright.

Hatcheries are pretty messy with sebright genetics, I have seen all sorts of combs and male feathering on them before.

I've seen that too, but I believe that whoever posted the information was incorrect. Upon further research with various OEGB associations, none of them list silver lace as acceptable SQ birds.
