LaLa, aka devil chicken. Always curious always talking.




Mabel, quiet and a bit standoffish but always nearby




Miss Betty, alpha chicken. A quiet and fair leader. Sweet and mild tempered.



Hazel, counting down to her first egg. Every night she sits with me to discuss how mean LaLa has been.



Gertrude (Gertie) turning into a beautiful lady. Even if she's not laying "chocolate" eggs, she's a little sweetie pie

Aw, your Hazel looks a lot like my Truvy. The bird makes them look so darn sweet- I just love it. My Truvy is a little shy but loves to be held- I think sometimes she tells on the other girls for being mean.

I looked at your photos and you're right, they look a lot alike. So sweet. Hazel and Gertie were raised on my friend's farm. I'm surprised they're so tame and friendly.
