Bedding and nesting choices

Pine shavings in coop and nest boxes. Works great for me. Deep bedding the in the coop with poop boards. The current plan is to do a full clean out in the fall.

This brings to mind another question. Why poop boards when using DLM? Isn't the point to mix poop with the floor litter?

Some people using deep bedding (non-composting) use poop boards.
Folks who want to do true deep litter(composting) do not use poop boards.
