Hello BYC!
I live about 1 hr west of Houston. I use bank sand in my coop run. It has worked well for me as long as we have hot,non rainy days. We had about rain recently for about a week and a half off/on, along with extra humity than usual. The sand is still retaining the rainwater and moisture. It smells bad. I've gone in there several times to "mix up" the sand to try to "air it out" , get it to start drying up. Its taking some time because we keep getting rain. I am looking to see what recommendations y'all have as to which bedding would be better.
