Bedding in the waterer

My 3 week olds are putting their bedding in their waterer. Using pine shavings and they constantly are putting it in their water. haven't seen them do it on purpose, but every day it's full. Thoughts?

Raise up the water and feeder. We started with bricks now its bricks with wood on top. As they get bigger keep raising it up. It has helped us shaving still get in but not nearly as bad as when water was not raised. Good luck

Yeah, they end up kicking the shavings in there. I put my waterer up on a scrap of 2x4 and it helps a lot.

x2 for nipple waterer. So dang easy, I was cleaning my jar waterer at least 3 times a day.
