bedding

would kitty litter work as bedding? I have some already lying around.

I also found shredded aspen at the store. Would that be ok or is it too fine?

Kitty litter is not safe for bedding...they would peck and eat it...wouldn't be able to get it out of their crops...I would use wood shavings or pine...not cedar...even straw can be used but it harbors bugs sometimes in the shafts....

I use pine shavings with straw and that works well for me!

So I make sure to clean it out every day!
