What is the best bedding to put in my coop

I like pine shavings - cuts odor, absorbs moisture and easy to clean up. I use it on the floor and in the nest boxes and even used it out in the run in he winter when the girls wouldn't walk on the snow. Easy to rake/shovel out and compost.
