hi all,
we have 6 new chicks about 8weeks old.Just wondering at what age they will sleep in the roost and not on the ground.At the moment they all seem to be sleeping near the door which is the area which has the least straw and sawdust, seemingly to me the coldest and least comfy spot.

Mine slept in a heap until almost 14 weeks!

Do you have something that resemble roost in the coop? Maybe just a piece of wood on the floor. Mine birds were looking to perch on the high spots when they discovered that they can leap.
