Beeeeeeeeeeees!!!!!

Call your local PD, they usually have a list of beekeepers willing to pick up swarms. A pineapple size swarm is pretty small and is probably a secondary swarm with a virgin queen. It is early in the year so someone may take them and build them up during the summer. Pretty much every veggie you get now a days is dependant on bees for pollination so consider that before killing them. If left alone they will very probably move out on their own accord in the next 24 hours.

I haven't posted a pic. But it's the size of a pineapple. As much as I love honey I am too chicken to capture them and my hubby is worse than I am.

if you google Bee Keeper Forums you will find one similar to this one, I think back yard is mentioned in the name. Not 100% positive. But go there, register, etc, and tell the members there what is going on. I bet one of them would have a suggestion, or would come get thme out of your yard for you. I can't talk for a forum I am not associated with (yet), but it's a possibility, and would save you some hassle maybe. Can't hurt to try. Someday i would love to have a hive to tend.

They are still out there. I put an add up on freecycle for them. I'm gonna give them a couple of days but they will be gone by the weekend.

The bees decided to move on this afternoon. There's a couple of stragglers still but they have flown the coop.
