I have had a rough time of it with my chickens this year. It started with buying six bantams at TSC lost two the first day. The other four ended up having a bacterial infection and cocci treated them. In the mean time I had also gotten five buff Orpingtons and five amerucanas one of which is actually a EE. They too ended up with cocci and had to treat. They all did fine until I moved the buffs and the amerucanas outside to the grow out pen with seven babies I hatched that were a week younger. Within a week they all got cocci again and started dropping like flies. I lost two buffs and six out of seven of the hatched babies. In the mean time the Bantys stayed in for several more weeks before moving outside to a small pen. I intergrated the buffs and the other big babies in that were left with my flock and they were fine I moved the bantys to the grow out pen as I was going on vacation for ten days and had my mom feeding. While I was gone all but one banty was killed by a snake. So the one was put in with the bigger flock. Now today a month later one of my red girls that was three years old I found dead in the coop. And I have lost two Faverolles hens in the last month. I don't know what is going on.
