A long-overdue welcome to you, Frances! Glad you decided to join us -- gave me an opportunity to learn something new. I just Googled one of your chicken breeds to learn about your black Swedish chickens. Thanks for triggering the free education!

I will also be interested in hearing your suggestions on herbs and homeopathy. I believe there are times when modern medicine is needed, and times when the old ways work just fine.

I admire coyotes for their adaptability to any environment and their incredible "concerts" that carry for miles out here on the flat prairie. Sometimes, I can hear them at night, and their calls are hauntingly beautiful. BUT, I only want to hear them at a distance; I certainly don't want them to visit here. Sorry about your loss of chickens.
