Hi all! Greetings from El Cajon, Ca.

Because of all the detailed info here I finally have my coop set up, secured and have 4 beautiful hens! I spend most of my time in the preditor/pest threads because we are like a wildlife reserve here. I have so many photos and videos of the raccoons and coyotes that we have to deal with. Just the other day we caught a coyote stalking then killing a possum in our driveway! It's all on security cams....brutal.

I am struggling with figuring out how to post photos and video, but when I do i think you all will love them!

Thank you for this site!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to our flock. A lot of us were lurkers before joining. :o) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. What kind of hens do you have?

Ok so this is what I was told, not sure if I'm saying the names correctly...I have a Production Red, Black Ameraucana, Blue Marans and a Speckled Tan Marans. All are between 6-12 months old and laying an egg a day.

I'm glad you joined the "flock."

What breeds do are your hens? We'd certainly enjoy pictures!

You have a very colorful egg basket. In my personal opinion, the chocolate eggs of the Marans are the prettiest in the chicken world. Good luck with your flock.
