Hi, and :welcome back, glad you decided to come back. You will soon meet
new friends and also daily chats. Congratulations on your new family, what a lovely name your daughter has too. Just remember if ever you need a chat, night or day please
come on here, you already have invites. lol. Plus there will be many more i am sure.
You are going to be just fine. New beginnings for you. :love

Loneliness was my greatest challenge as a young mom.
I was already isolated in a number of ways. Having 3 small ones under my particular circumstances really made me feel like Rapunzel in her tower. So sad, so lonely, which makes caring for littles that much harder.
My life happened to improve by other means as the children grew and became more capable, which also made them more like little friends than needy beings, helping with the loneliness. Babies are lovely to hold and nurture, but elementary kids that can converse is also so nice!

Things do get better.
I'm still looking for my social place. Forums do soothe some of my social needs without pressure. I can be here when I want to, not respond to what I'm not interested in, and don't need to be so pressured to fit in or not!

I unfortunately cannot suggest any parenting forums. The few I knew of have died out or actually became quite hostile to differing opinions. You don't need that! Have you considered in person meet ups with local parents? Finding a small community of some sort to join?

Mainly just need to talk to people

OMG. You described my life pretty well. I am social because I have to be, but I find it very stressful and overwhelming sometimes. And when my kids were little, I was a mess: I wanted to talk to grown ups but at the same time, I didn't. I never found people who liked what I liked or wanted to do what I wanted to. I still feel alone sometimes even when I'm in a crowd.

But welcome back to BYC! I like it here. At least here, I can pretty much be myself and get a little escape from life without completely disappearing into a virtual world.

It's kinda too bad we are all scattered. I have thought on occasion it might be fun to meet up and talk chicken... or turkey, quail, duck, goose, pigeon, emu, pheasant, guinea, peafowl....

I have this fantasy of a BYC convention with all of my favorites there.

Frightening thought that, Sour :D

To the OP - nothing else to add, but there are some very nice people around so make yourself at home.

ETA: I’ve just remembered that I read this article this morning - it may inspire you to give it a go - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-48725722
