Hi all! We've had a coop for 3 years, LOVE having our chickens. We had a broody buff orp, so we got her 6 fertilized BLRW eggs to hatch herself. They all hatched a week ago and it's been the neatest thing to watch! As you can see in the pics, 2 chicks have much more developed wings than the other 4. Is it too early to assume I have 2 hens and 4 roos? Not being familiar with BLRW's, I didn't know if this was an easy way to sex them early. Thanks!

BTW, your user name makes me smile -- we have a bad habit in our house of totally bastardizing our pets' names to the point that they are no longer even recognizable as the original name as they end up with a bazillion other names, nicknames, etc --- anyway, one of our dogs, Jethro, is also known as BoboBaggy(or Shaggy)Pants.

That's funny we did that with our dogs many years ago Toady Sue Ann, Puggy, son of Kings, Dee Dee Dee Dee Dinah, Sparkle Farts (she did)
