Bees and chickens

My family is thinking about getting bees. We have two chickens right now. Are bees and chickens okay to mingle? I worry that the bees will sting and it might have serious health problems. What happens when bees and chickens are together in the same yard?

Hi,

We have friends that have bees and chickens, they say they have no problems except that the chickens might eat a bee here or there (not near enough to cause concern).

I think they are fine together, many farms and homesteads have had both. If I had bees I would want to locate them out of the way from activity so people or animals weren't getting nailed by them all the time. I have looked into bees before too and still want to get a hive.
