Bees- Friend or Foe?

We've got a bees nest in our coop, do they bother chickens? Do we need to get it out of there?

In general, bees are good. If any of you are severely allergic, or if the nest is just too easy to interact with, having it gone would be best.

I have honey bee hives beside my coop. Not a problem. Are they honey bees or something else? Pic's would be good.

If it's really honeybees, look online or call to find a beekeeper who will move the hive. Our honeybees are dying off and one out of three food crops needs bees for pollination. Do NOT kill honeybees...or native bees or bumblebees either. They are vital to our survival!

Craigslist also has ads for bee removers.

There's a person in our area who removes yellow jackets, also helpful.
