I just got a free chick from a neighboring farm as a conpanion to a single chick we hatched and it looks just like yours there but the woman was clueless and had no idea what Mom was (looked GLWyandott X)...

Chick will either have a pea or rose comb. Mom was very good sized girl and this chick is a nice hefty little chick.

Aww chicken poop! I just noticed yours have yellow bellies, mine does not....
She's all black, except for the white at the wing tips. I named her Lucille after my No-Nonsense very Italian Grnadmother who passed last year.

They grow up so fast!! It is hard to believe how quickly they change from chicks to hens.

And again, went and looked and mine does have a yellow belly afterall, just not as large as yours...

I wondered if she had some Astralop in her from the get go...
