Had he not been treated, he would be dead by now from malnutrition

I think these little guys (Phoenix and his brother, Sunshine) were sent to be MY angels...

They have taught me soooo much and give me unconditional love in return.

It's all in their eyes and sweet dispositions

Yay! Updates! I was wondering how Sunshine and Phoenix were doing. I was away for a week helping some friends whose apartment got flooded in a massive rainstorm we had. I seem to move slower in January, too.

Thank you so much for sharing your angels with us, Nicky. Phoenix is really getting to be quite the hottie! I really like his combination of cool blue and warm, caramel brown.

You've done an INCREDIBLE job with him. You and your patient DH deserve a lot of kudos. I have more questions, but I'm gonna search around and see if you answered them before I ask.

A photo of Phoenix, taken today... He loooves posing and is really such a sweetheart, amazing to see how handsome he's turning out to be (from the little naked runt he was last november). I'll be happy when his tail feathers finally grow in! He crows like a pro and is growing like crazy - no more ravages of internal parasites robbing him of nutrients!

They're both looking so wonderful now! A true testament to your continued love and dedication to these most fortunate of chickens! I really don't think they would have made it through your winters Techndoll, had you not rescued them when you did.
