Began our coop build

Got a bit further exposing the stump yesterday thanks to my 4 legged back hoe. View attachment 1670232 will bore holes and pack with salt or stump out for decomposition.

Shouldnt impact leveling the coop spot too much but want to try elimimating this thing growing back as much as I can..

YEAH!! Considering how close it was to the fence etc! I may put some weed cloth over the stump to help deter runners once I salt or stump out the remaining piece.. But even if I covered with dirt, it's so nice having it down to ground level!!

I can thank the local power company for creating this mess in the first place!! UGH!!!

1 Hurdle down, hopefully the build is smooth(er) sailing!!

I am curious if the salt or stump out will have any ill effect on the chicks?

I don't believe it will as they won't have direct access to his spot once the coop it sitting on top

Gotcha! Thankfully that alleviates that problem.

I just think he stump is cool looking, but since you’ve dug up more of the roots I’d go ahead and try to get rid of it. If your luck is like mine, you’ll keep having shoots come up from it.

Yea probably so.. but hopefully I can at least get rid of this in it's current spot.. Eventually we will have a privacy fence so who knows what they will unearth when that gets built.
