I have a question i want to buy chicks but not sure if to buy online from tractor supply or go in the store to buy chicks there.
Also, what type of structure do they need in my home box etc.

thanks newbie

Regardless if you buy in store or online (? - not sure how that works with TSC) they'll provide a box.

I have only ever bought chicks in person as I want to be able to see each chick before I purchase it.

Before you buy chicks, you will need to get a coop. You will also need a heat source to keep the chicks warm for the first few weeks (chick heat lamps and heat plates are the two most common). I keep my chicks in the garage for the first few weeks, with a heat plate, in a large dog crate. You will also need a chick feeder and water container. They sell all of this at TSC. But I suggest you find a bigger coop than the small ones they sell there unless you are getting 3 chicks or less.
