Beginner Duck questions

for a snack they LOVE lettuce. we would feed it to them from our back door and if they were even really far away they would come as soon as they heard that door slam!

My ducks don't eat much feed, they seem to prefer low spots in the yard that hold water and gather old leaves and grazing around in the yard. I'm concerned that they are not getting enough nutrition to grow properly with at nine weeks of age.

Our chickens still eat crumble and they are old! but you should try dry whole corn. our ducks love that

Okay so I have a question I have 2 Pekin ducks both 2 months old I noticed one of them have a bigger head and the other one squats. Does a hen duck squat and does a drake have a big head?

The only way to tell is their voice and their size. Females quack and males have a raspy voice. Males also have tail feathers that curl.

I feed my 2 ducks Southern States 18% Specialty waterfowl feed ...specifically formulated for ducks, and the pellets float - good fun when I toss an extra handful in their pool!

$14 or so for a 40# bag at the local Agway (have to special order it, but they only need a couple days notice)
