I've just purchased a Brinsea Mini Advanced incubator and looking forward to my first go with hatching eggs instead of buying chicks. Can some of you out there tell me the most important things to know about doing it. I figure learning by others experience is better than making my own mistakes to learn, Thanks, Michelle

Hi,

I'm in the same situation as you with the same incubator. My first batch of eggs went in a week ago.

I guess that this means that I'm not really in any position to offer any advice but I thought I'd add my encouragement. We can share notes afterwards when we know whether what we did worked for us or not.

Paul.

My first batch is due Friday, so I'm a newbie as well. There's a lot of threads out there that will help you along the way. Although, make sure to read lots of responses because people do give contradicting advice.

There is quite a bit of useful information in the learning center on Incubators and hatching .

to the both of you .. I know their are several different opinions on Hatching .. And Many people have had luck with each method. Good Luck to you Both .. I have two Incubators going today .. and hoping for a small hatch tomorrow .. The One Consistent thing you Both will Hear is Patience ..... It can be so exciting and frustrating ... Good Luck !!!

Yes, please do keep in contact, I'm going to start my batch of Ameraucanas next week. So exciting!

Thanks, I Did click on that thread and I think I'll go get a cup of coffee because there is tons of info there. Still would like to hear some comments from people on "DON'T DO THIS" kind of stuff.
