Beginner incubating

Guineas are one of the few fowl that I haven't hatched actually but I have had success hatching quail, chickens, turkeys, peafowl, and geese in Nurture Right 360 and IncuView. The NR360 is a little more user friendly but IncuView isn't too far behind, it's just a little touchy sometimes. Brinsea is also reliable but it's a higher price point. Of the least expensive brands that I have experience with, Hovabator would be my suggestion but it's not quite as easy to use for a beginner as the above mentioned in my personal opinion.
Again, I don't have first hand experience with hatching guineas but I have heard that they are a little more challenging to hatch.

Thank you so much for this advice! I was just in middle school when we did it, but we would incubate as many as we could because their clutches were ridiculously huge and over populated… that was a long time ago to say the least…. At times it could be tricky based on their size and how they were hatching. That was sort of my responsibility, checking them regularly, hearing for any cheeps from inside and assisting them if necessary to hatch.

They are more challenging to hatch and we always believed that was why they would such huge clutches… not all made it (especially if you didn’t assist with an incubator) but they aren’t the best brooders and lose chicks because there are so many of them.

Our last incubator, simple, styrofoam rotating incubator, nothing fancy. I did read about the Hovabator and I’ll check in to what your using as well. I just want it to work and be reliable so it’s a blessing to have and not a nightmare. These are my hens first clutch…. Should be interesting, hahaha

Thank you for the advice. I tried correct my typos, oops

So I’ve had my eggs incubating for a while now…. And finding candling them not the easiest to do…. I also have a wide range of development going on. Pretty sure the Guinea hen laid, set some and then laid more…. It’s hard to tell…. And it’s been a long time since I last used an incubator. I had a brooding hen… she hatched 4 pure bred Plymouth barred rocks successfully and was doing wasnt interest on sitting afterwards unless it was night…. So I added those to the incubator. I have lost one unfortunately but so far the others are looking good. Idk if she will accept them once they hatch because her first two hatched on June 6th…. Time will tell.

If you know any good candling charts or sources for Guinea eggs i sure would appreciate the guidance.
