Beginner's Hatch-A-Long

frizzll farm,so what temp/humidity for muscovy ducks for incubation, ill just mive the ducks eggd into another incubator,i assumed temp/humidity would be about same since I tried muscovy eggs (shipped)on 99.5/56-62%n had no sucess
I don't know what incubator you have, but in my book of info for all the different eggs, (still air) It says the temp needs to be at 101* for the first 21 days then upped to 102* for the remaining days, most ducks take 28 days but Muscovy takes an extra 5 or so days. They require more moisture then chicken eggs, starting humidity at 65% and also recommended to spray or sprinkle water on them once a day. Cool duck eggs once a day too. Once they start hatching or go into lock down. Humidity needs to be upped to approx. 75%! Hope this helps you !

frizzll farm THANK U! Help was awesome! I candled tonight when I moved them into higher humidity incubator, they r GROWING! All 6 eggs, just not sure how long mom had laid them n was sitting when we got them last night,bc we got some 8 week old girls for our rescue males n asked the guy would he sell me a few to give another go at incubating eggs,n he agreed n gave me an extra egg....im thrilled to know their growing hoping they just continue n hatch.....ill keep u posted

My first hatch is due on the 15th too! a week after I placed my eggs in the bator 2 of my hens decided it was time to go broody, so my 2nd hatch will be the week after! 10 eggs in the bator & 13 eggs under 2 silkies
I had a similar thing happen. Right after I got done incubating a hen decided to go broody. She was in the community nest so she ended up getting booted off. She was very close though! Her chicks were almost fully formed! Now my Old English Game Bantam went broody in a secluded place outside of the coop and run. She found two particle boards leaning against each other to form a tent and decided it was a great place. I put three eggs under her so we'll see how it goes! Anybody know how many regular sized eggs an OEGB can take? She seemed to have a full load with three.

I hope everybody's hatches go great!

Currently, I'm letting my OEGB do all the work. She just has a few mutts to lay on.
