beginning of bumblefoot - are eggs still ok ?

I'm pretty certain that 1 of my hens has the beginning stage of a bumblefoot - I'll put pics up later if I need to.... I'm a few hours into reading about bumblefoot but I cant find any reference to whether or not its ok to eat her eggs? If Bumblefoot is systemic and some pretty nasty bacteria's I dont know if that means she could be be carrying the bacteria over to her eggs... Anyone know? I'm not going to treat her just yet as she doesnt have the big ugly black scab, just a lump between her toes and started limping today....

I'm pretty sure the eggs are fine but wait to see what others have to say. It's a very good question.

Why not treat the infection while it is new and doesn't settle in her foot? It might be easier to clear up if you catch it in the initial stages.

Might be a good idea to put all the different illnesses/diseases and wether or not the eggs are still edible.

Sorry I didnt mean to sound like I'm not going to treat her. What I'm not going to do yet is anything serious such as lance, remove scab, anything sort of surgical, becaue she doesnt have a black scab and some of what I read says that there is a chance it will take care of itself. I'm also not going to start antibiotics. What I for sure am going to do as soon as go out to put them to bed, is soak her foot in epson salts and just see that its clean tonight. Then tomorrow is a new day and I'll have read more on what to do and see how she looks and treat it however I should, she such a sweet chicken I definitely want to do the right thing. But in the mean time they have all layed eggs today and I dont know which one was hers so that is dilema as happened faster than her treatment. Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Ok I just washed her foot in soapy warm water and took a few pics, now I see a black scab, guess I'm in full on bumblefoot treatment mode.... yikes. I'm letting her sleep with her buddies tonight and then seperating her tomorrow so that I can deal with it.
