I was examining my hen today and noticed a scab on her foot. It does not look like bumblefoot, but maybe the beginning of it.

No swelling or limping at all.

It could be the beginning, but doesn't look all that serious yet. My chickens occasionally get small scabs on their feet just like yours, and the scabs go away on their own. The scabs never progress into bumblefoot. Just keep a close eye on the foot so that you can tell if it gets worse. As of now, I wouldn't worry too much.

X2. Just keep an eye on it, and if it gets any worse (begins to swell, etc.), start treating it.

Thanks! That's what I figured also but I just wanted to make sure :)
