Sunshine was brought back inside 3 days ago and is being treated for pneumonia...

First lice, then an eye infection, then worms, and now this

I thought it would all be worth it to possibly get blue eggs in the spring but now that Sunshine's feathers are coming in, I'm starting to doubt she's a girl... I guesstimate the age to be around 20 weeks, might be more and might be less - I just don't have a clue.

Comb is tiny and pale, no wattles (unless they're hidden in the beard) - sorry for the crappy pics, the flash washes everything out.

Since being in the house this bird is shedding feathers like crazy and everything sticks out like a bad haircut!

So... boy or girl? Possible age?

I also took a little video today, I can post if that would help...

Thank you!

I guess I'll find out if and when he starts to crow...

Right now a bunch of feathers and fluff are falling out, new stuff is growing in so it's a bit hard to tell.

I should have called him Raggedy Andy (or Raggedy Anne, if I would only be so lucky - not holding my breath though).

Well I am gonna go against the majority and say Pullet, I really dont see any pointy saddle feathers or hackle feathers in the pictures but I could be wrong I am no expert by no means.

Does this video help?

You see Sunshine about 30 seconds into the video.

Feathers are a saggy mess, it's post-worming and SO much dandruff and feathers and fluff are flying everywhere, it's horrendous.

Yes, they have a forever home with me whether they are boys or girls, I'll just have to find a way to make it work.

They've been through so much the past 5 weeks I could never bear to place them elsewhere.

I sense their love and gratitude every day, I really do - they may be ugly but they're my babies now and they're beautiful to me
