behavior of groups

I am seeing interflock conflicts again. It is the juveniles from rival groups that are competing over feed. When I throw feed out in border area between two rival flocks, juveniles of each group bunch closer together and orient towards the rival group. They make growling sounds with larger group in terms of numbers usually forcing the other group back. The flock made up of a mixture of games and red jungle fowl x games usually wins in part because they stick together when things get tough.
