What would cause my chicken to Peck at my feet she makes me bleed cuz she picked me so hard I've had her for 2 years and just recently this year she started doing this

She could of pecked you for any reason, my chickens used to peck at my nail polish. You should know if she is being aggressive because she will make a noise, her face will turn bright red and she will slowly let the wing in front of you loose. Chickens do this when fighting or being aggressive.

Chicken beaks can be hard and painful if they manage to hammer you on bare feet. Or if they come up behind you and peck at a sore on the back of your leg that is just beginning to heal. Or try having your eye pecked. Ouch. No. Don't try that.

Chickens use their beaks for everything since they don't have hands. They use their beaks to communicate, investigate, fight, and to eat. Often when they peck at bare feet, someone has colored toe nails or a freckle or a scab that the chicken is attracted to. The last thing to suspect when a chicken pecks you and it happens to hurt is that they do it to be mean.

A couple of my friends have come by to see the chickens wearing sandals. My chickens are very curious about bare feet because they don't see them often as I always wear shoes. My friends never come visit wearing sandals a second time.

Ugh.. I feel your pain (no pun intended!!) ... My chickens free range and I'm always barefoot. Now that the grass is coming in, I guess my toes in the grass look like grubs to them. When I go outside to throw some scratch down there are two that come running for my toes!!

:welcome I wonder too if you had shoes on. I always wear shoes and socks when I'm around the birds. I even have special shoes that I only wear when I'm with the birds.

There is a good reason for applying Blue Kote to a chickens' wounds. The reason is because the color red (the color of blood) puts a hens' pecking response into high gear. Shiny things like eye balls will also do the same thing earning the chicken owners unflattering nick names like Pop Eye or Winker.
