So... today we got our first snow. The girls wanted nothing to do with it. They wouldn't leave their pen. But they sure were excited! I also noticed a new behavior, and wondered if it was due to the excitement, or possibly an indication that they might be laying soon. I realize this often doesn't happen this time of year. They are RIRs, and are 18 weeks old.
A couple of them have been more vocal than usual, and turning their tails to the side. One of them did a squat, when I touched her back. The surprising thing to me is that she stood there and didn't run away. My girls don't like being pet. Any ideas??
