Behaviors of a rescued rooster

Maybe I know roosters so well, is because I am one? I use a human costume to hide my true identity: IMG_4522.png

Guess I will have to make him a true diaper, then!
I've seen them on Etsy and Amazon so you could look how they make theirs and just try copy it somewhat.

If all else fails, maybe you have a few facemasks around?

I'm kind of confused because I knew house chickens existed, but I always wanted to keep mine outside because "that's their nature". But this one just refuses to give me space 😅 he even pecks at me when I'm not paying attention to him!
That look in his eyes, that looks like adoration to me 😍

This might not work out and it might not be something you'd even want to try, but I wonder if it would be worth seeing if he could live with another rooster. The rescue people you got him from might have some thoughts or advice?

Oh, I hadn't thought about this!

I had two roosters in the past and they mostly got along, but I raised them both as chicks, together. And there was some blood once in a while, because the non-dominant roo challenged the other, and well, he reminded him who was in charge...

They never fought to death or injured each other seriously, but it is risky, even if there are no hens, am I right?

The rescue people certainly have other roosters to give. It'd have to be another non-aggressive roo, but I don't even know if my boy (who is a sweetheart with me) could be violent with another roo. He's a game roo, after all...

It might be worth it to try, if the rescue would be willing to work with you on finding a suitable companion 🤔

With proper indroductions it might work. It might not, but it's something to consider, at least!
