how about the more realistic 28 days/weeks later kind?

of course lots of ammo stockpiled is needed, but it really makes you wonder.........

In the movie 28 days later it happened in GB and basically the whole country was quarantined. If you were literally cut off from the world, would you survive on the basics or would you figure out a way to set up a stronghold, garden and be self sufficient?

Actually I have an ulterior motive for this thread.... writing a short story on this that's so far 1/3 way done.
