No, but it does recomend things like, use a baseball bat to take out zombies and ride a bicycle.

Well, you gotta let the zombies get pretty close to use a bat, may have to swing a few times, and in full zombie combat gear that could get tiring. A bike works ok if you are uninjured and alone, but what about your small children? How to carry a baby: in front for optimum protection or on the back for optimum movement? How do you tell a zombie track from a human? How do you clean your sniper rifle? Build a silencer? How do you troll lakes for sunken zombies? How does one disinfect from an up-close zombie head smashing?

These are the things a concientious young mother should know

Baseball bats are so impractical for zombie slaying.

You do however, prove my point. The Zombie Survival Guide is too plebian.

I think the Klingon blade is better for vampires though...​

That's why with zombies, in most cases, a bow and arrow is preferable to a gun. Unless you've got a high caliber, a gun just doesn't have the 'inconvenience' power of a bow. If you take pain out of the equation, which would be easier to walk with: a bullet in your leg, or an arrow? Plus arrows are often reusable and easier to craft. Once you run out of bullets, you are out, if you run out of arrows, gather some of the used ones and continue firing. I also recommend a hand crossbow for similar reason. Sure, they lack the distance of a gun or bow, but if you run out of bolts, you can fire sharpened sticks or nails with reasonable accuracy at close range. Keep a sling as a further backup, in case it ever comes down to flinging rocks. Slings can do it with more lethal power at a greater distance. I recommend a staff sling, greater control and easier for the beginner.

Now, if you suspect the zombies may in fact be mummies, fire becomes a far more viable option. Fire is also useful against vampires. Remember that since zombies, mummies, and vampires do not have beating hearts to disrupt, electricity is a minimal threat unless the voltage is high enough to actually generate lethal heat. Tazers will do no good in the zombie apocalypse, and vampires will just use them on you first before chowing down.


And besides, a small amount of splatter is a good thing. Give you that proper horror movie bad-arsed look that increases your survivability odds by a factor of 4.
 
Threads like this is why my house never gets clean and my children are ignored. I'd probably get mistaken for a zombie since I never leave my computer.
