We have a Belgian Bearded d'Uccle that is one month old. She has done great until today. Now sitting facing the wall, not eating or drinking. No signs of a pasty butt. No signs of injury. ANY ideas?!?! My daughter is just heartbroken!
Thanks so much

Check the crop to make sure it's not impacted. The crop is loacted on the right side of breast. Give some poly-vi-sol infant vitamins in water. Make sure it's without iron. If the crop is full, massage it and give your bird a drop of olive oil. I hope everything is okay.

Same thing JUST HAPPENED with my little D'Uccle girl. A little older, but not much. I tried giving her oil through a tube into her stomach, but she died. I think I may have accidently flooded her lungs by not putting the tube far enough back in her throat. I don't know what was wrong with her and I feel terrible.

On a happier note, I had a chickie hatch the same day she died. The life cycle continues, but I am sad nonetheless.

Hope your little girl does better than mine.
