FREE! MUST GO SOON!
Little Man hatched April 2, therefore is 10 weeks old as of Monday, June 11. He's crowing now!
He is being raised by my Silver Phoenix hen, who hasn't rejected him entirely, but may soon. I can't have a 3rd rooster in that pen, so he must find a new home. He's super sweet and small, like his mother, Carly, who is my smallest Mille Fleur D'Anver hen. He is just now beginning to show his white tipped feathers at over 10 weeks old.
You cannot get this color D'Anver at any hatchery in the country! The parents come from Boggy Bottom Bantams in South Georgia, an NPIP breeder of top quality stock. Good opportunity to add the mottling gene or mille fleur color to your bantams.
Bonus! This one has the definite possibility of being sired by one of the porcelain roosters, therefore, may throw either milles or porcelains when bred back to a mille or porcelain. There was a mille fleur D'Anver rooster at the time the eggs were collected, but he tended to do less of the breeding than the porcelain males.
**one thing you may notice about this little man is that he is a bit sparse in the beard department, though there appears to be a bare spot in that location and some feathers growing in there. Since all the parent stock have wonderful beards/muffs, I'm very sure his broody mama is picking it out while on the roost for some reason, her being a Phoenix and not a d'Anver. I can see he does have muffs, so seems Phoenix mom doesn't want D'Anver son looking scruffy, LOL.
*If he is not rehomed, he may be sold with a pullet as a pair soon, so he will no longer be free*
Free! Pick up at my home in Fannin County, GA. Thanks!
ETA: Added pics of potential sires, both my porcelain and mille fleur D'Anver roosters, who were in the pen at the time.
