I have had many favorite chickens through the years and it is always sad when they perish. But chicken math has always intervened and I soon have another favorite before long.

I'm so sorry. It hurts to lose a pet.
I just tell myself s/he's in a better place now. I have to keep going for my flock and my family. I never truly get over it though. The grief passes, but you'll always have a memory of them.
