Really I'm not trying to be mean. I live in Maine even it was cold for me today. I went out and it's 7F with a NW wind of 20mph gusting and I was cold. I asked my birds if they were cold. They said NO. And 1 SLW laid an egg this morning just as I came out to feed, It was almost hot. At noon time I found one of my SLW laying in the nest box but no egg. Singing the egg song though. Went back out about 1315 and she had laid and so had my BO in the same box. So they laid within the hour and both eggs were still warm. If they are eating, pooping, drinking and lively they are fine. If they are sleeping at night they are not cold.Thank you.
