I called them last year because I only live about a half hour from them. They said I either have to order, or contact a local feed store and see if they would order what I want. I asked our feed store and they included my order in theirs and I just had to go pick them up the next week. It worked out great. I also know that they get rid of a lot of their breeding stock in the late fall. I don't know what condition the birds are in, but they are already grown and laying, so you wouldn't have the wait. If you buy the hens, you can get as few or as many as you want.
My chicks are coming from Belt on the 24th! I live near Redding CA, and I wanted to order from somewhere close to home. I didn't thought about picking them up, but that would be a long drive... Plus, I don't think you can pick them up from the hatchery.
Does anyone have pics of their birds from Belt? I have been dying to see some.
Our feed store in Chico, Ca get their chicks from belt. I have not dealt with them personally ....I've just told my store what I'm looking for .. bata boom bata bing ... they have been able to order them
... SO, Far all of mine have been Healthy, Happy little hens .... straight run thats another story nothing wrong health wise just a lot of boys if you no what i mean
plus I think the bigger the order that bigger the price discount
