So I'm off in search of a bento box that will fit in DS's lunchbox and doesn't have Hello Kitty on it and costs less than $40, shipping included. Wish me luck. It isn't as easy as you might think!

Fun and EXPENSIVE thread! hehe I've just made two orders from Ichiban today! Eep! They have some super cute 2 tier bento boxes in stock right now. Mostly girly so my girls will be thrilled. I think I got a few gender neutral for the boys, too, then some other molding stuff, etc.

Just a tad over $30 later...hehe Still way cheaper than eBay! Woulda been cheaper if I'd ordered it all together as shipping is the killer, but I didn't want to miss them if they went out of stock. Got notice on first order (made this morning) that it's been shipped. WOOT!

Oh those are cute. I confess, I just ordered a Totoro 2 tier box through Jbox. Paid through Paypal and paid $2.30 extra for quicker shipping. Should be here in 7-10 days. I'm sure there'll be more in the future. Sigh...it is expensive but if it encourages our kids to eat healthy it's worth it! I want the orange balloon set for myself!! And I already have a Laptop Lunch Kit!

Okay, I thought I was done, but omg! A four shape sandwich cutter! So you get four shapes out of it and the only thing it wastes is the crust! Eep! They also have them that does two hearts instead of four different shapes.

hehe yup! Also the quail egg shapers! BUT one had chick faces and my kids have a hard enough time eating eggs (may be baby eggs, dontcha know?!) so i know they'd never eat those! hehe)

OK, don't laugh too hard. We are from Arkansas, you know...last night, Bella specifically requested a "Razorback Sandwich." Um...OK! So I did my best, and crafted this hog-shaped peanut-butter & banana sandwich. And then, when I was trying to fit him in the box, I broke off his snout. Dangit!

PB/Banana sandwich on organic whole-wheat bread
organic strawberries in vanilla yogurt
roasted acorn squash cubes with cinnamon
Almonds & whole wheat Goldfish crackers for snack time

The littlest container has a bit of organic sugar for sprinkling on the strawberries--this resulted in 95% strawberry consumption, as opposed to the day when she wasted the berries!

You have no idea how many kids grow up with parents who just don't care. Their kids can do whatever they want just as long as they leave the paretns alone.
