Bertha is running a fever

Try to keep the fluids going.

Since her crop seems to still be full from overnight(?) she may have a crop issue. Check it again before she goes to sleep (lights out) then first thing before she eats/drinks to see if it has emptied (flat).

Crop issues can be a symptom of an underlying condition like Coccidiosis, worms and internal laying/reproductive disorders. Keep her hydrated, offer poultry grit (crushed granite) free choice and soft food (egg or wet feed). Since you found a thin shelled egg, she may also need some calcium or is having some laying problems. Make oyster shell available. http://www.backyardchickens.com/a/impacted-slow-and-sour-crops-prevention-and-treatments

As you probably know it can take some time to figure out the exact problem. The spinach green poop is probably from not eating well, but the brown is probably cecal poop mixed with white urates. Egg laying problems can occasionally start very young, and sometimes with those, they may have yellow or cooked egg-like poop. Hopefully her crop will empty some. You can try to massage it a little to help it go down.

As long as the wounds aren't oozing, her poop is normal (no blood or worms), and she's taking in fluids, not much else oyu can do. Just keep babying her. You're on the right track mama!!
Thanks, but she hasn't eaten for t least 2 days, maybe 3. She continues to take the electrolytes but no food of any kind. I've tried scrambled egg, cooked rice, bread, and we have blended some blueberries with electrolytes but haven't tried it yet. We did mix an egg yolk with electrolytes and she did take some of that. I feel like I need to get some nutrients into her. And yes, I was cuddling her on my lap and crying, begging her to get better and eat something. If she makes it through this, I am pretty sure she and I will have a weird close relationship lol.

Thanks, my husband has been rubbing it when I hold her. She is getting weak. This is like having a sick child, I'm just a mess.

I'll ask, as you may have missed @Wyorp Rock and @Eggcessive posts.... how is her crop? Empty in the AM? How does her breath smell?
It may be a little smaller. I did not know chickens had smelly breath...But I will check the next time I get her out for electrolytes. I am curious now...what should it smell like and what should it not smell like?

Does she have any special treats she would normally go crazy for? All my birds go crazy at the mere sight of a watermelon or cucumber. Much like ice cream when the kids are sick. I will try and find anything for my humans and animals when they don't feel well. I hope you and she get better really soon, Big Hugs for both of you.:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs

I have both oyster shell and baby chick grit I will offer her. Thanks for the advice.

She looked interested in the bread but did not take it, I am going to try some mashed blueberries on her the next time I get her out for electrolytes.
